A couple of Proverbs that get my Attention/Proverbios que llamaron mi atención

Well my father has been telling me to read Proverbs for a while now and I still don't finish it BUT here are a couple of proverbs that got my attention and that I actually want to put in practice on a daily basis:

Proverbs 6:16-19 (New International Version)

16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:

17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Proverbs 12:1 (New International Version)

Proverbs 12

1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but he who hates correction is stupid.

Proverbs 12:18 (New International Version)

18 Reckless words pierce like a sword,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 13:3-4 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

3 The one who guards his mouth protects his life;
the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.

4 The slacker craves, yet has nothing,
but the diligent is fully satisfied.

4 El perezoso ambiciona, y nada consigue;
el diligente ve cumplidos sus deseos.

Murphy's Law

Today I went to the gym like for two hours and got out like at 11:55 AM.

Before hitting the gym, I txt a friend and told him I would pick him up for lunch at Noon....

When I got to the car, I had a txt message already of my friend.... and I replied like "on my way"...

I was trying to get the shortest rout (since I was already late) but all the lights were red!!!!! So, I stopped trying to get there faster and took my iphone to write on my facebook status that all the lights were red today for me.... and at the moment I unblock my iphone to write that, all the lights turned to green...

This works all the time.... When you pay too much attention to try t fix something, it will take you longer to fix it... try to focus all your desperation in other thing and then when you come back to what you were trying to fix, it will be easier for you to fix....

man, I don't even understand this, BUT that was the lesson for the day....

Later!!!! :)

Very True... Muy Cierto

Today I started to read a book that I had in one on my nightstand and I got to read this very truthful line that says (since I didn't find the correct english version of the quote on the web, I am just gonna try to translate in my bad English:

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is to try to please everyone."
By Plato (according to the book) and Bill Cosby according to this web site.
